Vintage 1930s knit sweater from France. Tag is reminiscent of Rolex branding. Sweater has stretch and is in wearable condition. Distressing throughout, most notably an unusual staining/paint pattern across the front that almost resembles a deliberate graphic or an abstract. Staining may be paint, or perhaps candlewax from an old headlamp — regardless of the substance, it adds tremendous character. Fit is overall the more form-fitting fit of a ‘smarter’ fit sweater, and is a bit small in overall sizing, as is common for clothing from this era. Unsure if ‘Patron’ was a small manufacturer of knitwear, is a surname, or is simply ‘Boss’ and therefore was the job title of the original owner.
