Really incredible 1910s French Wool Gabardine Suit. This was clearly bespoke made, with ticking at collar, details inside pants and more which show the process. Wool gabardine material is smooth to the touch, and after years has developed a sheen in some areas. Black color is only very slightly faded, and still appears to be jet black in most lights. Minor distressing throughout, but overall in unreal condition given age (over 100 years old). Suits like this were not just dressy attire, but were generally worn every day. The silhouette of this suit is casual and drapes well, whilst also having sharp shoulders and construction that is rigid enough to appear very smart. Pants appear to have a stamp on the interior of the waist. *
*Comes with both the jacket and the pants.
