1940s faded purple sweatshirt cardigan. Buttons are in tact or at least at some point were repaired. Tremendous wear, distressing and character throughout. Most notably, the fade pattern on the back is insane. It looks like a purposeful tie-dye pattern, but is actually the result of the cardigan having been found sitting under an outdoor iron table. The fade on this cardigan is a result of the sun fading that took place through the pattern of the table - and the pattern of the table can be seen etched into the fade of the cardigan. The fade looks a bit like the sun, so in a meta sort of way, the sun fade on the cardigan has a fade that looks like the sun - sun fade of the sun faded into it. Amazing, unique piece that can be worn or displayed. Rare large size for this kind of item as well.
