1920s or 1930s distressed French leather jacket with button double-placket closure with a braided leather button at the collar. Jacket is beautifully worn-in with a soft yet rigid hand-feel and ‘honeycombing’ on the sleeves. Other than the sleeves, the jacket is completely unlined. Being unlined and without any kind of labels/markings, as well as being a fairly boxy cut, this jacket is fairly crude and makes me believe it was likely produced for military or automotive applications. Horsehair collar. A beautiful, heavy-duty jacket with honest wear. What’s not to love? Found in Southern France.
